Dear Swedish Parents,

Greetings to you all. Thankyou verymuch for the support you have extended for us for all these past months. Half of the year has finished in this 2017. Days are quickly rolling and only few more months to see our Swedish folks back in the Childhome.
The weather is getting better now and the temperature is now between 33-31 degrees keeping the atmosphere little cool. The monsoons entered in the beginning of this month. It rained for 2 days and did not see any rain so far. Hope we will get sufficient rains this year. If we did not get sufficient rains we have to face big problem in getting our staple food paddy( rice). The prices are rising gradually.
This year we got a good number of admissions. New children are enjoying the Childhome. It is fun watching the children quarreling for the Rolletors they got from Sweden. We gave one to girls and one to boys. We still need more because this year the majority of the new children cannot walk. These Rolletors are very useful for them. Most of the visitors who visit the school are really impressed by these extra facilities children got. One of the new girl went home for two days and came to me with a complaint that she had very difficulty at home with out a Rolletor to go to toilet. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ROLLETORS.
Children are enjoying the extra nutritious diet they have been provided. Even the government officials are verymuch impressed by the good food and keeping the environmmet clean.
In this aspect I wanted Thank Samuel and Johan for their patience ,constant observation and their valuable advices to maintain this childhome in a disciplined manner. With your support and Sam we will not be able to run this childhome.
We have cleaned the ground and did some earth works making it possible to plant the kitchen garden. Hopefully we will sow the seeds in the end of this month. We leveled the ground and kept it open for sun. We will wait for two more weeks to plan for the pipes and watering points. We will start with veggies and greens first. The ground is full of stones and less soil. So we are separating the stones from the ground now.
We are thinking about the rainwater storage points also.
This is the statement from one boy called ”Jampa Rao”. I asked him why he love the Childhome . He said that at his home town everyone calls him as handicapped ( kuntivaadu in telugu) including his parents and family members. No one call him by his name and he is only known by his disability. But at the childhome every one calls him by his name for which he feels so happy because all his inmates are handicapped and they never feel any discrimination. He said that he enjoys staying in the childhome forever. My heart felt thanks to my biological parents who started this mission and I wanted to thank my beloved Swedish parents, Sam and Johan for your constant guidance, support and love to continue this Mission Journey together giving Hope to these most deserving children.
Once again Thankyou very much for every thing that you been doing for all of us. We love you and looking forward to see you in Dec 2017 or Jan 2018.

With Love,
Alice and children,
Hope childhome, Challagundla.
