The Financial report of the month of November 2014 and letter to Parents.

Dear Swedish Parents,
Greetings to you all. Thank you very much for all the love and concern you are showing to us. The winter season has started now. It is very cold during the night time and during the day it is sunny but cool. Water from the tank for the daily usage is freezing. Children are afraid to take  bath every day. Usually they take bath in the morning around 7 o clock and after the evening session in the school they take an other bath. Since they play in the evening hours and left with much sweat we encourage them to take bath twice in a day.

This year the winter is pretty cool. The most beautiful and enjoyable season in the child home is winter and we all wait for this season. If we talk about cold and snow it seems funny to Swedish people, since your summer is our winter. All the children will wake up by 5-30 in the morning and they will have prayer time for half an hour. It is much interesting and enjoyable to watch the little one picks up the wood and small sticks in the ground to make a fire in the early hours.

We celebrated ”Childrens day” on the 14th of Nov. The school staff gave sweet and hot snacks for the children on this occasion. Children participated in cultural activities and performed dances and made all of us to dance along with them.  One family works in the police department celebrated his daughters birthday in the child home and provided good dinner for all of us with delicious food. This police man happened to visit the child home during the summer while he is attending the government elections and was very impressed by children and also the atmosphere in the child home, so he made all of his family to come and stay with all the children to celebrate his  daughters birthday and shared his joy with all of us.

We have moved the park materiel ( swings, balance rod and other equipment) close to the childrens dormitories which made them very happy, so that they need not go for a long distance to play and enjoy. We are searching for a right place to put the ropes to get the wet clothes dry( in India 98% of the people wash their clothes by hands and hang the wet clothes on the ropes outside of the houses). Since the school is getting painted and giving a wonderful look we don’t want to put the ropes for wet clothes in front of the school, but looking for the appropreate place.

New kitchen is getting ready for the new year with nice roof and clean walls and flooring. Thank you very much for all you are doing to us and we all are anxiously waiting for Sam and other friends from Sweden who are going to visit us very soon.

One of the child named Sk.Babu a 11 year old boy asked me that when is Santa from Sweden is coming. I was little surprised and said there no Santa in Sweden and to my astonishment he said brother ” Samuel Tideman is their Santa because he brings many gifts with love from Sweden to these children and visits them during the Christmas season  He said that what Christmas means to him is enjoying good food and playing with Samuel and anxiously waiting for his arrival brings great joy and happiness to him””.He again expressed since there are many Swedish people supporting these children if all of them come and visit the child home there will be many Santas filled in the child home campus said with a great smile on his face. I saw his eyes are twinkles in his eyes while he is sharing with me. This boy belongs to a muslin family he did not know about Christmas , after joining in the school he came to know about it. He lost his mother when he is a year boy and his father married to another lady he had very bad experience with his step mother. This boy has deformity in his both legs and cannot walk properly. He gets pain in his knees very often and we are sending for thorough check up since this boy is a victim of polio and Floride chemical.

Once again thank you very much for your boundless love and for your great concern. We wish you all a Happy christmas and a blessed New year. Hope this Christmas brings great joy in your families.

With Love
